Entomology: travelling fellowship
Applications are invited for the Varley-Gradwell Travelling Fellowship in Insect Ecology. A travelling fellowship, which may be of up to £2,500 in value, will be awarded for the support of field work, travel, and other activity in the field of insect ecology. The fellowship will be tenable for one year commencing on a date to be agreed. It will not be renewable.
Applications, including a curriculum vitae and a research proposal, should be sent to Mrs Claire Harvey (01865 271275), Board of Management for the Varley-Gradwell Travelling Fellowship in Insect Ecology, Zoology Department, South Parks Road, Oxford OX1 2PS by 31 March.
The research proposal should include a budget, and should not exceed two sides of A4. Applicants must give the names and addresses of two referees. In the case of graduate students, one of the referees should be the supervisor. Applicants are asked to note that, if large numbers of specimens would result from the work, the cost of follow up work should be shown in the budget, and details given of how, and by whom, they would be identified.
